Andy was a unique individual. He was a brilliant thinker, a sound business man, an excellent presenter, teacher and an outstanding consultant. He could be the energy in a group of people or a serious thinker dealing with a problem.
I had the privilege of knowing him and collaborating with him for 28 years. We taught classes together and developed new material together. In the whole time that we collaborated, it was not about who was right but it was all about what is right. It was a joy for me to work with him and have him as a friend.
In 2009, Andy and I self-published “Breakthrough Sales and Operations Planning”. It was the definitive work of our collaboration. It is available free on this website
In 2011, we were asked by Carol Ptak to author a chapter in the Book ”Orlicky’s, Material Requirements Planning”. We were pleased to be able to contribute to this fine piece of work.
Andy continued to do some consulting and speaking until 2014, when his health had deteriorated greatly.
On December 5th 2014, I lost my best friend and collaborator.
On December 5th 2014, Industry lost a giant of a man who was a great thinker, innovator, teacher and consultant.
On December 5th 2014, the Coldrick family lost its Patriarch, a father, grandfather and brother who was beloved
It was a privilege to have Andy as a friend and collaborator. I miss him greatly. I think about him often and will never forget how he enriched my life and the life of many.
